Church News 10/04

Pastor Neal and Betty Stockeland will be with us on Wednesday, October 31 – Sunday, November 4. Pastor Neal will be candidating for the Senior Pastor position at Brookdale. Please be in prayer for them and for us as a church family to know God’s will for our future ministry. More details of their visit will be available soon.

Sunday preview – theme “God is Sovereign” verse of day Psalm 97:1

There is good Bible centered teaching for the entire family. Join an Adult Study at 9:00 am and involve the kids in Sunday School classes geared just for them.

Our Foundation series through the Psalms will continue as we consider the sovereignty of God in the morning worship service at 10:00 am.

Robert Glazner, Pastor of Crosspoint Baptist Church in Arizona will have a testimony during the service. Also, Pastor Tim will be presenting his vision for future church planting ministry this Sunday night during the 6:00 pm service.

Also In the evening service, we will be voting on the ammendment to our Constitution concerning Absentee Ballots for church officer elections. In order to consider this proposal, a 2/3 quorum is needed – 119 members of voting age (16 years old).

Missions Conference –
Missions Conference Brochures will be available on the table near the auditorium entrance.
Please check out the sign up sheets for the Missions Conference. There are several sheets to sign up for the Sunday, noon International Dinner, weekday luncheons and the Wednesday Chili/Soup Supper
Gift Baskets for the Missionaries – We will put together gift baskets for our Missions Conference missionaries. If you would like to purchase a gift card (nationwide) i.e.: gas cards, Target, Walmart, Applebee’s, etc., please place them in the box at the Missionary Conference Sign Up Table.

November 6 – Election Day – Precincts Voting at Brookdale – We are hosting two precincts as a voting location on election day. We need some volunteers for help on that day. Please sign up if you can help with hospitality or providing treats (like muffins, rolls, scones, etc.) for the morning and afternoon treats (like bars, cookies, etc.) for the judges and polling workers. Call the office for any questions.
